Tamar Solomon

Occupational Therapist OTR/L

I graduated from Dominican University in 2004 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. I began my career in inpatient rehabilitation at a Level 1 trauma hospital in New York City. I then transitioned to pediatrics once I became a mom. I have worked in pediatric settings such as schools, residential facilities, and private clinics. I have experience working with children with emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, Autism, and developmental delays.

I believe in providing the best care through education, skills practice, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. I have training in Learning Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, S’cool Moves, and Reflex Integration training.

Children learn through play and guided experiences. The therapeutic use of play can help children reach their potential and experience success.

In my experience, developing a good rapport with children is also key. I bring this attitude when working with children which has led to great outcomes and positive relationships.
